FLORALS

J.LEA
FLORALS

Jessi Ferguson (she/her/they) is the owner of  J.Lea Florals.  With over 10 years of floral experience, Jessi specializes in wedding and event florals.  She is fueled by flowers in every sense - each bloom brings a different texture to the project, coming together to create a living art piece. Not only does she create gorgeous work, but she is also fast friends with everyone she meets!  One of her favorite parts about being a wedding florist is the connection she gets to make with each individual couple.  If you have a chance to see Jessi in action, you might see Jessi's wife, Kristen, on sight at an install as well.  In case they weren't busy enough, they also have a full house of dogs and cats that they love dearly!

DJ & MUSIC

GEEXELLA

GeeXella (they/them) started their business in 2017.  While music is often at the forefront of what they do, GeeXella is a multidisciplinary artist. All of GeeXella's work comes back to center around youth, Black folx, and People of Color.  GeeXella's passion is a reflection from their mother being a migrant worker and never having access to a better life due to her Mexican heritage.  This pushes GeeXella to be a passionate educator in the community. Their business focuses on creating a fun dance floor that feels inclusive and safe.  Serving the queer community is important to GeeXella, which means creating a space for others to not just feel safe but also BRAVE. Though they are a foundation of the queer community in Jacksonville, GeeXella also travels to Gainesville and St. Augustine for events.

BAR SERVICES

THE SANGRIA
TRUCK

Jen (she/her) and Lauren (she/her) are partners in just about everything. From life, to raising children, to their multiple local businesses, these women are the ultimate dreamers!  Lauren first opened this mobile sangria bar in 2018 - the first of it's kind in Jacksonville.  A few years later, Jen and Lauren developed the idea from just sangria to entirely customizable beverages for each event.  The Sangria Truck is more than just another mobile bar - they have personally designed and built everything in the trailer from the ground up. Not only did they add a mobile bar cart to their collection, but they also own a rental business that compliments The Sangria Truck flawlessly.

(see Velvet Crush and Co. for rentals)

RENTALS

VELVET CRUSh
and co.

If you read the previous listing, you know that Jen (she/her) and Lauren (she/her) are badasses to the max. Jen first opened Velvet Crush and Co. when she had the idea after purchasing a gorgeous antique Victorian settee.  She was always drawn to a good color story, with layers of textures and textiles.  Now a business run by both Jen and Lauren, Velvet Crush and Co. has an extensive collection of curated pieces that tell a romantic story when put together.  Who knows, you might catch them treasure hunting in local antique shops in their free time!  That is, if they had any.  Jen and Lauren also own a merchandise and clothing company called "The Good Shit" and a houseplant/interior store called "The Greenhouse & Bar".

FLORALS

GOLDEN WILD
FLORALS

Bethany (she/her) started her business in 2020 after years of training with some of the best florists in Florida.  While Bethany lives in Lakeland, FL, she travels often to Jacksonville and North Florida for weddings and events.  One of Bethany's favorite parts of what she does is hearing what people find beautiful, it's so individually personal. She loves hearing people's stories & visions, and what's important to them. She is always striving to learn other facets of beauty. To her, serving the queer community means loving well & choosing truth. It means healing wounds and making people feel as sacred & precious as they are. In her eyes, the queer community holds so much wisdom and courage.  When she isn't working, she is hanging out with her partner, Gi, who agrees with her motto: "Love is what brings beauty into a space. We are nothing without it."

HAIR

SHER LOVES
HAIR

If you're familiar to the Riverside area of Jacksonville, you might have seen this bright haired beauty bopping around in her brightly colored Vans. Sher (she/her) grew up watching her grandmother, a stylist of 45 years, work her magic in the salon. Eventually her grandmother let her help out with the shampoos and at age 13, Sher found her love for hair.  From there, it's just been a whirlwind!  Sher started her own business in 2020, specializing in haircuts, day-of styling, and color services.  The thing that makes her the MOST passionate are those vivid colors!  Sher's favorite part of her job is watching the transformation. It’s the moment when the outside finally matches how her clients have always felt on the inside.  Providing a safe space means everything to her. Her message to all is that hair and haircuts are not gendered - she thinks hair is purely an accessory for expression.  If Sher isn't doing hair, she is most likely exploring the outdoors with her partner Skylar or curled up with her pets.

BAR SERVICES

REGARD
LIBATIONS

Audrey (she/her) is the owner of Regard Libations, established in early 2021. Audrey has 15 years of experience in the food and beverage industry and a passion for hospitality.  At RL, celebration is their speciality - they elevate every celebration with their mobile bar services and beverage catering. Any libation served by their team is made with the utmost attention to detail and fresh, custom-made ingredients, and their bartenders have extensive experience in fine dining and mixology to accommodate everything from a craft cocktail experience with a one-of-a-kind menu to a full offering of mocktails, coffee, and tea. Audrey loves pretty much everything about her job! She loves the moment when a client tries a cocktail created specifically to match their taste  and they just LOVE it; she loves going crazy in the kitchen while she hand makes their Bloody Mary mix & tonic syrup or squeezing citrus juice until her hands are pruney.  Most importantly, she loves being surrounded by the aura of celebration. Life is too short NOT to celebrate, and having a part in ensuring every guest/couple/client celebrates to the fullest fills her cup.  As a lesbian, serving the queer community is personal to Audrey.  In her words, "Our community has fought tirelessly for our marriages to be recognized, protected, and accepted (as the fight continues), so it is an honor to participate in an event that exercises rights those before us did not have."

FLORALS

SOULFUL STEMS
BY S & K

This company is the brainchild of two insanely talented florists with years of experience under their belts!  Sarath (she/her) and Kari (she/her) are the co-owners of Soulful Stems, an event floral company.  While both of them were previously running their own seperate florist companies, they decided to join forces in 2020.  As a locally & female owned business, they understand the significance of being a part of the community in EVERY way possible. Letting the LGBTQIA+ community know that they are welcome and safe is a top priority. Kari, the "K" in the S & K duo, hid from everyone she knew until she was almost 30 years-old because she never felt safe enough to express herself as queer. Kari never wants ANYONE to feel that they are not allowed to be themselves or are unworthy of someone's love and celebration due to whom they love in this life! Weddings are a time for celebration, and they shower ALL of our clients with this love, acceptance and celebration!

BAKERY & CAKE

spoonful
bakery

Run by wives Mackenzie (she/her) and Amber Frangie (she/her), Spoonful Bakery is a well loved favorite in the Riverside/Murray Hill area of Jacksonville.  They make a mixed variety of delicious treats but specialize in creating nostalgic baked goods that bring you back to the good times when you bite into it.  As a trained chef, Mackenzie brings technical ability to the table with her sweets. While using tried and true recipes, she also puts a good dose of love and heart into each product, as if it was made by your best friend.  Having worked at many bakeries and restaurants that felt unsafe to exist as a queer person, Mackenzie and Amber are proud to create a safe space for all people to enjoy their sweet treats.

VIDEOGRAPHY

COLIN GOODMAN FILMS

This unique film company is run by Colin Goodman (he/him).  Colin was the original brains behind the operation, starting as a wedding photographer and then moving into film.  Soon after moving to film, Lakin Goodman (she/her), his sister,  joined in to take photographs and the rest is history!  This epic team uses warm tones and constructs intimate moments for their couples, to capture the authenticity of every moment.  When he isn't shooting, Colin is most likely swiping through TikTok with his husband Christopher or walking their black lab Luna.  He is also the owner of a new company "The Audio Guestbook", which creates the ability to record audio from guests at a wedding to turn it into a lasting auditory memory.

They also offer a free service to couples to help them plan their dream wedding. As if this wasn't enough, they also run “After Spaces”, which is a resource for any individual who would like to know all the Safe Spaces in Jacksonville for daily life. They will provide this info free of charge as well!    When they aren't both working, they are relaxing with their three dogs Peanut, Buddy, and Lois.

H. ROSARIO
PHOTOGRAPHY

Heather (she/her) started her photography business in 2018.  Heather mainly works in Central Florida but loves to travel too!  She loves being able to make her clients comfortable in their skin and providing them with that safe space to be who they truly are. She loves to be able to bring to life the ideas that her clients have in mind. She loves being able to build a relationship with and get to know her clients for a more personalized experience. Her goal is to not just photograph one special moment in time, but to be able to grow with her clients as their lives unfold.  Many queer couples don't always feel comfortable displaying affection in public places, so providing a service that allows them to express their love without judgement is her ultimate goal. It is also my prerogative to guide my couples through poses without the pressure of gender norms. Her ultimate goal? She wants to be able to provide this service worldwide.
